WordPress Camp Vancouver 2010
ByToday we attended the WordPress Camp Vancouver 2010. This was the first event I have ever attended like this one.
The biggest ahaa moment for me was when John Biehler spoke about using MAMP/WAMP. This will enable you to build site without internet access, or easily restore site with it. When he asked the question about having all the plugins and optimizing backed up… That Was My AHAAA! because No I Do Not! And the thought of having to re-create all of that just plain give me a headache.
Also a great way to test back up functions – test that they actually work!
I did expect to hear a little more about how people were actually using WordPress and perhaps some tips & techniques . However I am not disappointed and we are extremely glad we attended. Many thanks to all the organizers and I absolutely love my new water jug!
