Time to get involved with LinkedIn groups. I have four tips for you regarding LinkedIn groups, which are an extremely valuable resource. Groups are a great place to find people who are looking for what you have to offer, whether it is a product or a service. They are also a great way to get your own questions answered about challenges that you’re having in your own business.

1. Demonstrate your expertise. You can do this through links to your blog that show that you know what you’re talking about. You do this in your posts to your profile on LinkedIn.

2. Request recommendations. Most people are too busy and they don’t remember to go back and give a recommendation for someone that they’ve done business with. It’s in your best interest when you’ve had successful interaction with someone or a great business deal, to go back and actually request that they go in and recommend you on LinkedIn.     Great post! Thanks for reminding me about LinkedIn Groups! I post quite regularly on LinkedIn and did start answering questions at one time, but have not done anything with groups for some time and will certainly get on with the ideas you have recommended.

  2. Linked in is incredibly powerful, although I don’t use it as much as I feel I should. People with a lot of money are on LinkedIn as it’s much more of a professional network.

    I haven’t fully explored it yet. I seem too happy being on Facebook and Twitter. I usually just focus on one or two sites and build relationships rather than trying to be active on many.

  4. This is some great advice, Carla! I know that I’ve got to get better with getting active on LinkedIn, but these are some great ideas and some great principles. I’ve used some of them, and I can’t wait to use more.
