Social Media Marketing – 3 Easy Ways To Create Content Which Equals Engagement


The old days of “if you build it, they will come”, are long gone. You need to be demonstrating to people you know what you’re talking about, and you can do that easily with great content. Creating content when you really know your subject is not difficult. There are tons of ways that you can create content, and that great content is going to engage more people.

Three ways that you can create that great content:


Share more. When you make and create a blog post on your website, on your blog, don’t just leave it there as a blog post. Make sure you tweet it out there, that you put it on Facebook, whether it be your personal profile or your Facebook page, put it on LinkedIn where appropriate. Use Digg, StumbleUpon and all of the different social bookmarking sites that are out there. Share your information everywhere and anywhere that you can. You can take one blog post and share it in over 50 different places. It’s amazing what’s out there, and everybody uses a different combination of different things. You want to make sure that your great content is out there in front of as many people as possible, share it more often. If you think you are already sharing enough, double what you do for a month and test what happens. I promise you’ll be pleasantly surprised.

Use pictures. People love pictures. There are many different ways to share your pictures. I like sharing my pictures through Twitpic on Twitter. I post albums on Facebook. I use the Google Photo Album. I use a ton of places. Now, and going back to point number one, I could share more. I could take more pictures, and I’ll bet you that you can too. I picture says a thousand words; I’ll have to look that one up. Use more pictures to get your point across, to grab people’s attention, and one little quick tip, always put a picture into your blog post. If your blog post is extra long, put in more pictures. Each and every one of your blog posts needs a picture.

download (1)Great way to create more content is with video. Did you know that YouTube is a big community all unto itself? There are hundreds of thousands of people using YouTube on a daily basis. Your videos, whether they be just for fun or you’re talking about your product or service are out there working for you 24/7. My example is that I have hundreds of videos out there on how to show people how to do different little things on the social media site. Where can you use video in your business? Remember, it doesn’t always have to be about your business. You can find videos that people have on YouTube and you can share those as well. They don’t always have to be your own. That can be part of your sharing more. If it’s appropriate for you to embed the video into your blog post, then you go ahead and do that, too.

Remember, your product or service improves the lives of others. Create that great content. Get it out of your head and down on paper, in pictures, or on video, and get your content out there so that you can share more.
