Oh I feel like such a negative-nellie when it comes to Linkedin! I just haven’t had a great experience with the groups Carla … I’ve done many of the things you advised, though I’d be the first to admit I could do much more. That said, I’m determine to give it another try this year and I’ve made a note of your recommendations. Thanks!

LinkedIn groups are really great. I like the changes over the last few years, especially being able to share and engage a lot easier. I’ve actually met a lot of WordPress developers through linkedin first before meeting them at a WordCamp so it is really nice. I wish Yahoo! had thought about that years ago when they did the merge from eGroups and Yahoo! Clubs to Yahoo! Groups.

great tips and I can see your point, which you are making very clearly, by the way, to be part of Linkedin groups.
It is on my list of things to integrate into my routine.
How do you monitor which tweets go to linkedin?
My Twitter and Linkedin accounts are connected, so I believe all my tweets go to Linkedin.

Good tips, Carla. I have not been very active on LinkedIn. It looks as if one has to wear a different hat with this social network. It seems less casual and more business like. A different crowd. Even so, I imagine it’s a great place to connect with a lot interesting people in one’s niche. I agree, groups are the way to go. These are very useful tips. Thank you! I’m going to give LinkedIn a shot this year.

Hey there Carla,
I have to admit, I have not spent a great deal of time on Linkedin. Simply because I have been focusing all of my attention on Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and YouTube.
But after watching your video I think I’m going to add it to my “To do” list and go in there and finish setting up my profile and get a better understanding of the community there.
Thanks for the tips,

Very informative, thank you! I really appreciated the tips you gave and am looking forward to doing them especially the one about optimizing my profile. I was not aware that these features were present and that so much could be done at LinkedIn.
I haven’t really done much with Linked In groups. I am a member of a couple but not paying attention. You have me thinking I should be more involved.

Aloha Carla, awesome video tips for Linkedin. This is a more professional site and I know I can use more tips on this site. I do utilize the basic in some of what you mentioned, but maybe I should add Amazon reading app, I can’t say if we’re able to add more than one app. I guess I’ll find out. I hope we can connect on Linkedin as well, this would be nice to since we’re both on there. Glad I came by and thanks for sharing! Mahalo, Lani 🙂
