Social Media Marketing – Engagement Is Key On Your Facebook Business Page (You Can Do a Great Job)

By

Engagement is critical on your Facebook Page. Without it your page looks like a ghost town. When you see a restaurant with no customers inside and another restaurant with a lineup which one do you believe is better? The busy one, Right? The same concept applies to your Facebook Page. You want people to want to visit your page and share, comment and like your posts. It’s just good business. Here are six strategies to increase engagement on your page.

download1. Share, find similar or complimentary pages and hit that “share” button. This allows you to share quality content AND show other page owners that you are open to sharing their information with your fans. This encourages others to share your information and when they do it can dramatically increase your reach. If the person who shares your post has 1,000’s of fans your Facebook page could explode!

2. Frequent updates are a must! Your fans are online at different times of day and you need to be posting when they are on line to see your posts. You can give yourself a big boost by using the “Promoted Post” Facebook function. This can cost you very little and ensure your post is seen by more of your fans. Be sure to have the RSS feed set up from your own blog.images

3. Facebook ads are an excellent way to put your page in front of your target market. If you are a brick and mortar business it is super easy to advertise to Facebook users only in your geographic area. Facebook offers great information on how to set up your ads, or you can use a service to take care of all of the details for you.

4. Be sure to connect with your fans! When fans post comments on your page be sure to respond to them. At a minimum you can simply “like” each comment. Ask questions. Simple questions your fans can answer quickly and easily. Remember, your fans are there to be entertained and have fun.

5. Good quality content is key! Research and find out what your fans are interested in, then post the content they are looking for. Motivational quotes and cute animal pictures are an excellent way to engage your fans. Be sure to insert a link to one of your products or over to your blog where you have posted great quality content too.
